Sheehan won't run for Senate
i think everyone is relieved by this:

Sheehan won't run for Senate
Los Angeles Times
SAN FRANCISCO - Iraq war protester Cindy Sheehan announced Thursday that she wouldn't challenge U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., in the June primary.
Sheehan sharply criticized Feinstein for voting to authorize President Bush to invade Iraq.
Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in the war, said Feinstein's votes to spend money on military operations in Iraq had allowed Bush "to prolong the murder and the mayhem."
"I am not running against Senator Feinstein, but I will continue to be a thorn in her side," said Sheehan, who said she had been weighing a bid for weeks.
Sheehan's protests outside Bush's Texas ranch have made her well-known nationally, offering her a platform — if not the money — for a legitimate Senate campaign.

I thought only Bush surrounded himself with cronies.

She is not the President of the United States. Man, you guys hate her so much and yet you pay her more attention than any liberal.

Paying her attention and making fun of her kind of go hand in hand. Can't make fun of her without giving her the attention she craves. It's not my fault the whack-a-mole pops it head up over and over again to the hilarious swinging of padded mallets dropping down on its head.

Maybe some folks find her threatening. I think she made her point to Feinstein.

Unfortunately she is being pushed by the demos as the face of the party. And she will be judged as such.

Bull hockey!
The party has not embraced her by in large. You don't see the DLC reaching out to her. Dean may run the DNC, but the DLC right of center lap dogs still run the party.

I don't see Dean pushing her to the forefront either. I see Sheehan as the imaginary Republican chosen poster child. They would love to stick her front and center and treat her like the clown on the dunking machine at the carnival. It is just pure and simple character assassination. If the time is taken to listen to her message she is one of the few voices of reason. If the DNC chooses to slot themselves as Republican Lite, the pubs have a much better chance of surviving in 2006 as the power party, in spite of themselves.

Maybe she realized that I have more of a chance living in Colorado of becoming California's Senator than she does.
