Prime Minister Ariel Sharon came under fresh pressure to resign after Israel's chief prosecutor recommended he be indicted in a corruption scandal.

Edna Arbel handed a recommendation Sunday for charges to be pressed against the prime minister to Attorney General Menachem Mazuz, who has the power to indict Sharon.
