If I was religous, I'd be a Catholic. It runs in my blood.

However, I'm not religous so it is a non-issue.

Sadaam must go and it is about time!.

My loyalties go:

Family, USA, friends, work, beer, Cardinals and other sports teams, more stuff, way after more stuff, political party, and being born a Catholic.

Screw what the Pope says.

Do you think the Pope was cheering for Marquette or Holy Cross when they played today?

What does being religious have to do with being Catholic?

My entire family on my Mom's side is Catholic and besides my Grandparents none of them set foot in church except Christmas, Easter, or a funeral.

I don't know. I celebrate all those things, but the only times I go to church is for weddings and funerals.

Pope Says Heart 'Oppressed' by War in Iraq
Wed Mar 26, 5:29 AM ET

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) -
Pope John Paul on Wednesday made a fresh appeal for peace in Iraq and said his heart was "oppressed" by the news of battles.

Speaking to thousands of pilgrims and tourists in St Peter's Square, the pope asked Catholics around the world to continue praying for peace.

The 82-year-old pope, who headed the Vatican's diplomatic campaign to avert war, said that when he prayed he did so "with a heart that is oppressed by news that reaches us from an Iraq in war."

The pope, who appeared in relatively good health, said the world should not forget the other conflicts "that are bloodying the Earth."

He prayed that the Madonna "obtain justice and peace for the whole world."

The pope is firmly opposed to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and the Vatican has refused to bless the conflict as a just war.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can just see it, next week the pope will drive to Baghdad in his popemobile to be a human shield to protect the Saddam regime.

Praying for the Madonna to obtain justice and peace? Again, totally against the Bible. What a freak.

I know Madonna has been active in the antiwar movement, but to pray to a singer and bad actor is beyond me. Maybe he is praying for the US to jam Iraqi TV and play a Madonna movie marathon - with the threat that we will keep air them 'til they surrender.

After reading the subject of this thread I expected to see some indefinable statements but really I had no idea. Taking pot shots at the KING OF BEERS is just flat out wrong! I don't even think the Pope himself could forgive you!

I guess war really does make people do crazy things.

If Budweiser is the King of Beers, I'm definitely moving to Vodkaland!

I got it and thought it was a great post.

It makes just as much sense to pray to Madonna as it does to pray to the Madonna.
