I thought Saddam was a Pabst and tomato juice guy...oh well...

I don't believe in the pope. I am a RC but his deal w/Milosovic really set me off.

If the pope can support ethnic cleansing, then I lost all respect for the pontiff.

The Pope can shove his opinion.

He is no closer to God than the next guy.

His "holy" position is not even biblical.

He is an embarassment to all Catholics around the world.

(I am a recovered Catholic. The only thing I got from the Church was a quality 2nd to 8th grade education. And, BTW, I have never regretted my decision to NOT be an altar boy...WHEW!)

Wow! I can't believe nobody has come to the rescue of the Pope. If this was back East, we would already be dead.

The Pope is the root of all evil.

*ahem* I hate to break it to you...but it is all a ruse ala Rob & Fab (Milli Vanilli).

He is actually a lip-syncher. It is actually the Dali Lama behind the great voice.

Yes, the Pope is an idiot, a quack, he can shove his opinion. Great topic guys. Just because he says something you don't agree with.

All you freaky Bible thumpers...doesn't everyone have to answer to God for their actions? Or are we being selective because it is the Pope?

Let me save everyone the trouble here:

Screw the Pope, Saddam, Bush, Clinton, the French, the Russians, the Germans, the Canadians, the Senate, the House of Representatives, O'Reilly, Limbaygh, Geraldo, Larry King...who am I forgetting? They say things against us so screw them all.

Nice attitude.

I forgot the guy on the tractor in the pond. I mean he is upset and doesn't seem to be hurting anything but let's shoot him anyway because he is diverting traffic..

Sure, everyone has to be responsible for his/her actions, but the Pope took it to a new level by taking a stance against the USA.

It's the same revolving argument we've been having on this site.

Some people equate going to war with being "for war."

In this case, Bush and the sensible allies who are siding with the USA, see that diplomacy and other means haven't worked for 12 years so it is time to act and physically dethrone and disarm Saddam.

If the Pope would actually crack open his bible occassionally, he might see the justification for governments to go to war somewhere within it's pages.

It's just more useless Papal dogma. Heck, the guy should be in a nursing home not in the public eye anyway.
