Gentlemen, I think that's the issue here between the great red / blue divide in America.
Most that se7en says is correct (in reference to the quote above).
IBC puts the civilian deaths at 86,661 as of this post.
This is at the very low range of estimated deaths, and only uses press reports to change the total. Some estimates put it at a much higher number, in some cases, 10 times + the number above.
Diminishing / reducing the constitution - FISA / Gitmo (for US citizens).
Illegally imprisoned - Gitmo / CIA methods of rendition.
Billions of dollars to companies through no bid contracts - KBR, Halliburton, Bechtel, numerous other defense companies.
Checks and balances - This is where, to some degree, I disagree. Congress has acted like a coward here - willingly giving up their oversight capability, approving budgets and additional funds, and approving blanket measures. Ironically, if anything, it seems that the courts have held while Congress has abdicated their constitutional duties.
So, when some people call se7en a "Drama Queen", they either understand very little about the current political situation, or simply choose to ignore it.
Keep preachin, brother.
