I thought it was going to be the announcement of the Cheryl Crow and Laurie David Stop Global Warming Tour.

To be fair, they are using a bio diesel bus to get around and their first stop is Texas to go after a company trying to fast track 11 coal burning plants before new legislation make them harder to get approvals on. I have no issue with that. I've said that all along, when we had rolling blackouts everyone complained but the reality was newer environmental legislation made it much harder to build new plants. Now we're going to make it even harder, we need to.

That's why all this stuff about electric cars scares me, where do they think all that electricity will come from? If you have your own windmill that's great, if you don't, odds are its coming off the grid and it's probably not "green."

I've been watching "Future Car" on Discovery, pretty interesting show. My one objection is they kind of gloss over important details. Like talking about the hydrogen car they talk about how abundant Hydrogen is in the universe, in space, underground, water. They do touch on methods to extract it but they really undersell just how inefficient those methods currently are.

They claimed that soon we'll be able to get hydrogen from water, drive the car, have nothing but water vapor emissions, and at night you'll be able to plug your car into your house and get electricity from your car to help power your house. Your car will become a hydrogen burning power plant.
