According to the news segment on Air America, White House sources indicate that Rove is expected to be indicted, perhaps next week, and will resign at that time. Anybody else here anything on this?

Thats kind of sad. I'm about as conservative as they come, and I didn't throw a party when Clinton got impeached. To be honest, I think it was a sad day for our country.
A completely different level of bad, but I heard that there were parties at Phx Country Club the night Kennedy was killed. Absolutely terrible.
Rove is not a president. He's not an elected official. He's an axe-murdering political hack campaign strategist who is probably more responsible for the incredible divisiveness in the country than any other single person. He has never shown the slightest interest in putting the nation's good over political victory. He can't be gone fast enough.
My father was ecstatic when JFK was assassinated. I never looked at my dad the same way again -- lost a lot of respect for him.

When you hear that from someone other than Air America, please, let us know.
I was expecting that post from you and then some. It was read cut and dry on their news section, very nonchalantly like everyone already knew it. But I haven't seen it anywhere else. Checked Washington Post this morning and saw nothing. We'll see where this goes.
Last night, MSNBC’s David Shuster took a look at recent court filings by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald and suggests that Karl Rove is likely to be indicted. Watch it:
Three key points made by Shuster:
1. The latest court documents, for the first time, name Rove as a subject of the investigation. 2. The court documents go out of their way to say that Rove will not be called as a witness in Scooter Libby’s trial, even though Rove is a key part of the narrative. Shuster notes that this is done when prosecutors want to “leave open the possibility of later charging that particular subject in a separate case.” 3. Rove is referred in court documents as “Official A.” Shuster says “in every single case we have found, Keith, that prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald when he designates somebody as Official A in an indictment, that person eventually does get indicted themselves.”

That article is at least two weeks old. I don't know why you would be searching with regular google anyway. News.google.com is the best place to find current news reports. The only sort of new items are:

Sketchy report that Rove has already informed Bush he will be indicted
Chris Matthews basically says nothing and various sketchy sources have taken his remarks to mean an indictment is coming soon.
I did not know there was a news.gooogle.com.
Anyway, someone asked if there was anything out there and I guess there is. It is just old news that Air America is re-hashing I guess. Well, maybe you just can not trust AA.

I seem to remember on one of these threads saying how Rove, Cheney, and Libby were all going down... I also seem to remember jenna and 40 making a bet with me it wasn't gonna happen...
Well it looks like two out of 3 and Cheney just may be next:
I guess its just all a conspiracy theory and a left wing fantasy still
Its just like everything else with this administration and the pattern is showing up in the NSA. Act assured that no wrong doing is taking place; thenDeny, deny, deny; then make petty excuses; then get busted for lying.
These are VERY bad people running our country, VERY BAD!
If Rove gets indicted, it will have nothing to do with the matter at hand. It will be the same as Libby - lying to a grand jury. How anyone can construe that as justice is beyond me. Either Plame was outed or she wasn't. If you can't convict on that, it just means that the investigator doesn't want the taxpayers thinking he wasted all those millions of dollars and three years of everyone's time.
What a travesty of justice.

What a crock, the travesty of justice here lay with our executive branch thinking they can out smart and deceive the very system of justice you are blaming.
The fact that these douches running our country have been lying have made it almost impossible to convict on a very nawworly worded standard of proof regarding intent.
Its almost impossible to prove intent if everybody involved are serial liars.
Even the utmost lay person in law can figure out that when people like this lie so consitently over what you are calling trivial is pretty much proof positive that they are hiding something big.
I can guarantee this goes all the way up to the President, for they have taken serial lying to whole new heights with this administration.
At least--in some form--some of these peices of crap are getting a modicum of commuppance!
Rove, Cheney and Libby (and possibly Bush) committed treason in the Valerie Plame incident, and all should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law.
