Republican Senators Vunerable to 2008 Election

The following is a list of republican senators up for re-election in 2008:

Jeff Session of AL
Ted Stevens, AK
Wayne Allard, CO (retiring)
Saxby Chambliss, GA
Larry Craig, ID
Pat Roberts, KS
Mitch McConnell, KY
Susan Collins, ME
Norman Coleman, MN
Thad Cochran, MS
Chuck Hagel, NB
John Sununu, NH
Pete Domenici, NM
Elizabeth Dole, NC
James Inhofe, OK
Gordon Smith, OR
Lindsey Graham, SC
Lamar Alexander, TN
John Cornyn, TX
John Warner, VA
Michael Enzi, WY

Out of these 21 seats, whom, in your opinion, do you see as vulnerable? I'll open with: Ted Stevens, Susan Collins, Norm Coleman, John Sununu, Pete Domenici, and James Inhofe.

Anybody else have any thoughts? This could be a lot of fun. We'll do the democrats, too.

I was wondering about Ted Steven's seat - I figured that thanks to cryogenic technology he'll never give it up.

I think it's pretty obvious anyone in a race for election or re-election is vulnerable.

The only person on this list that isn't is Wayne Allard. He get's the benefit of a big middle finger to everyone.

I believe some are much more vulnerable than others. Particularly when their win margin in the last senate election was marginal. Specifically, Norm Coleman comes to mind. He only received 50% of the vote and now finds himself having to do a complete 180 degree on his position regarding the war. (Remember when Mr. Galloway came to washington and blew him out of the water). Likewise, John Sununu was elected by a 51% margin and, being from N.H. (the most independent demographic), he's got problems. Pete Domenici has this DOJ Prosecutor scandal percolating (he's already hired Duke Cunningham's lawyer). That's three senate seats with potential to turn dem.

We'll have to see who's running in the Allard race, but Colorado's republican stronghold is waning. Could be a "pick em".

There's a good chance Gordon Smith (R) will be replaced.

Do you know who's running against him? I also think it's over for Pete Domenici (attorneygate) and Norm Coleman (he's just generally an ass and Minnesotans love their Al Franken).

I would like to say Inhofe (KS) go. He's the guy that said global warming was the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people. (That "ass" thing again).
