You can be the best, most conservative manager of money in the world (and I was right up there) and God help you if you get sick. I needed a type of medication that costs thousand and thousands of dollars a treatment. My medical insurance considered it a prescription and I had no perscription coverage.
It went on the VISA. And the Master Card. And the Discover Card... Which I had because I spent my life being conservative with my money and had great credit.

agreed. people who have never walked in our shoes have no clue what they're talking about. Tow back surgeries, being diagnosed with Chron's disease, all within 3 month. No matter of conservatism with money during my 33 years would have prepared me for the 80,000 dollars worth of damage that was gonna do me... and that was AFTER my insurance (which I paid through the roof for before all that) "covered" me... and then dropped my ass.
Thank GOD my father's a doctor who actually knew most of my surgeons or I would have been in debt forever.
walk a mile folks before you talk about how prepared people can be for disaster to strike.

they can't keep me from getting health care anymore 40. THAT'S HOW.
Also, this health-care bill has made it clear that if states wanted to create their own health care set-ups, they can and there's A LOT of talk that California will set up a universal health care system in the state for it's citizens which means I won't have to pay a 1000 dollar premium in the near future.
That's actually how Canada's health care system got started. I believe it was Saskatchewan (no clue if I spelled that right) who went to single-payer and then people saw how well it worked and it just swept the country.
it'll happen here. and it'll be a good thing.
that being said, I'm scared to death of what this health care may mean to this country... thing is, I was more scared what doing NOTHING would do.

Its very much like believing anything the right says about the Democrats as they say "Belief is in the eye of the partisan beholder" [kinda]

Once again I said exaggeration not illusion. I never denied that this happened I stated that the lack of video makes me wonder how much of this is exaggeration. That "partisan" term you like to throw around seems to be interfering with your reading comprehension.

Yes, you will be able to buy insurance, but at what price and when?
