Of course its a small minority of idiots but I have still not seen a single conservative here categorically condemn them

(Our town had, like many, actual laws on the books that you could not sell your house to a Jew, Black, Hispanic and goodness only knows what-else.)

My Dad openly announced he'd love to have Lena Horne as a neighbor, thereby shocking all the other PTA parents. I'm pretty sure that got us excluded from a few back yard bar-b-q's.

People were afraid of change then. They are afraid of change now. People will always be afraid of change.

If this bill passes I can only pray that Limbaugh and Hannity don't go nuts tomorrow and incite people to God only knows what.
I'm so old that when I was born, they had to invent dirt to have a place for me to stand.

Simple, you can't obstruct if you don't have the numbers. The Dems failed and tried to blame the Republicans for their own ineptitude. And as far as the Dems not walking in lockstep---wrong. All the ideals went out the door tonight (including the abortion issue) when it came to marching in step with the party. This is one issue that has fallen out into the open. The American people will now start paying attention and the big lies Pelosi and Obama have been spouting about this healthcare program will now be made apparent. Everyone is going to expect instant help. Good luck with that.

You haven't seen anyone agree with them either so why don't you quit being so dramatic?

I haven't seen one agree with them either. I haven't seen a single Democrat categorically condemn all the side deals Obama is cutting to get votes but that doesn't mean I assume all Democrats agree with him doing that.

I can't ride so I generally pick short horses.

I condemn violence, bigotry and hate period, regardless of the source or perceived politics.

Exactly.

These people only care because it finally hit THEIR pocket books.

When it was just our civil rights getting taken away, and when OTHER people's pockets were being picked it didn't matter. It was love it, or leave it back then when you complained about this and that. Remember?

The Tea Bag Party is about as constructive and crazy as PETA, IMO. And just as organized.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah, good comment really merits a thought, considering the source.

Throw the point of the bill aside for now. The bill was VOTED in. How can it be totalitarian if the bills is voted on ?

What an idiot. Cannot believe he said this in public, on a public forum, on recorded media. LOL. Never surprised on how amazingly stupid politicians can be.

Unbelievable.

If this guys is so pissed off to just throw lies, and dirt in the air. Shouldn't he be throwing the fellow Republicans that voted "yes" on the bill, under the bus ?

Just use some logic, and try (at least just TRY) to instill some confidence that Washington is not filled with mindless, millionaire idiots.

And going toward the point of the thread.

Politicians are supposed to be our leaders, which they do a HORRIBLE job of.

But, regardless they are people that the public look to, or at least AT when it comes to politics.

The un-civil, and un-warranted, way our government officials, ON BOTH SIDES, have been acting I am not surprised in the least that citizens are following their lead of disgusting behavior.

When politicians, and major political players tell people to become angry, and hint at violence then this the behavior it produces.

The current behavior of the US citizens is a direct reflection of the scum we have in Washington representing us.

It is a piss poor situation involving piss poor individuals.

I will say the howling and indignation was way over the top, you can just say we vehemently oppose this as a bad bill and let it go at that.

You don't have to have prayer vigils and build an arc.

The Patriot act never got any attention and if you were going to howl about one bill that'd be the one, spending more money, heck they do that all the time.

I hate this health care bill but it's done now, might as well begin life dealing with it but I will say this.

I will never vote for anyone who dosen't pass a basic fiscal repsonsiblity test and at least share my view that government should be more limited, you don't feel that way fine but you'll never get my vote.

Expect to either not vote or be in constant disappointment at being lied to from people telling you what you want to here in order to get elected.
