Privacy is getting harder to come by every day.

IMO, there's money to be made, and the more corporations and government know about you, the more money they can make or make sure you're not a threat.

If you take a picture now, there's a good chance the GPS coordinates are recorded on the picture. If you know how to access them, you know down to 3 feet where on earth it was taken.

The newer cell phones have GPS built right into them that is always on, or that can be turned on without you knowing. They can also be used as a listening device.

Not to mention that for a while, the NSA was pretty much copying all internet traffic in the US to its servers.

The worst part is that the above sounds like the Adventures of the Tin Foil Hat Brigade, but in each case, you can find reputable news stories on them.

I wouldn't be surprised if your car GPS could record where you were for the last 3 months or 3 years.

Privacy? Not anymore.

My 18 year old daughters friends laugh about stuff like that, if they want to disable the GPS tracking their parents turn on they just take the batteries out.

That's their standard answer to everything ie standard practice is to keep your cell phone battery off until you use it, funny and probably smart.

We don't track her and never have, it's tempting as well as the insurance companies tempting you to mount a camera in their car for a cheaper rate, trouble is what that camera captures could get you in a ton of trouble.

I understand why parents want to track their kids, but think about it, if you've gone that far and need to do this it's already a losing cause IMO.

Just because you can dosen't mean you should.

And interesting as all get out. Former Explosive Ordnance Disposal guy. His district is a bit of a Redneck heaven. He's not going anywhere.

(The tremendously annoying "Step away from the car" voice emenating from Dodge Vipers is Issa's BTW.)

I have a PlayStation Eye for our PS3 for it's Move system. I keep it unplugged when we're not using it, specifically for the reason that I understand that if someone (with admin access at the PlayStation Network) could eavesdrop on us at any time.

If only we could get Bin Laden to start playing video games we'd be in business.

Just create a video game whose goal is to kill as many infidels as possible.

Or a Mario type game where you TRY to die to collect as many virgins as possible.

18 is not a child, in fact the US is about the only country that regards them as something less than fully adult
