Political lines, shallow thinking

I find it interesting that the liberals on this board are so outraged about anything and everything in Iraq.

Id like to settle something once and for all. Everything below is fact and without doubt.

George Bush is a republican and had us go in Iraq. The liberals are outraged. Many civilian deaths (And american).

Bill Clinton has us go into yugoslavia. Now I have seen some posters here post the most outrageous lies about what occured there. In fact all that they said was the standard democratic political dribble that they hear on tv.

FACT: Serbs, Muslims and Croats all had many mass graves full of their enemies.

FACT: Bin Laden brought in Al Queda soldiers to fight for bosnia.

FACT: In bosnia there were more croats and serbs than muslims. Serbs living in bosnia were forced to stay in their house until an armed guard came to your house and gave your whole family one cup of water. If you left your house to get food or water you and your whole family were shot on the spot. Same thing if you were a muslim in serbia or croatia.

FACT: When the lines of the country were drawn Serbia was given most of the military and military bases. Bosnia was given all of the main industrial cities.

FACT: Clinton had us take the side of the muslims because the serbs were commiting war crimes. (No mention of the mass graves filled with serbs and croats) We fought along side al queda and annihilated almost the entire serbia army. We also bombed every major city they had cutting off water, electricity and heat. There were thousands upon thousands of serbia civilians killed.

If the mexicans and americans started fighting in AZ and britain came over and gave the mexicans phoenix, tempe, tuscon and any other big city and told the americans to live in the dessert, and you attempted to take the cities back by forced because your country, economy and people are in ruins and britain destroyed your army would you be bitter?

Especially when mass graves and crimes were commited equally on both sides but you see briatin saying that only your side was doing it and you all needed to be taught a lesson?

I bring this up to show how the republicans and liberals on this board only think along their party lines. Not one of you can come up with an original thought of your own for God's sake. Our expedition in Yugoslavia did more to hurt our credibility to the europeans than Iraq. The other european countries (other than our friends in england) wanted all 3 countries to be treated equally which is what should have been done.

My finace barely got out alive as a girl with a serb mother and croat father living in bosnia. You dont believe me? Sit down with her and hear about the awful things done to them by the muslims? A friend of hers was a sniper target in the road in her down they would shoot non vital body parts. The muslim snipers did this for three days to teach the serbs in the town not to look or walk out of their house. The liberals here wont get up in outrage because their great leader clinton told them who was right and who was wrong. And krang, k9 and company cant think for themselves or come to conclussions against party lines.

Learn to think for yourselves or learn the facts about things. You may disagree with how I believe we should do things but at least its an original damn thought.

Ugh, yeah jackass, tell me what I believe.

As I said in a PM to you, my former roommate was Serbian/Croatian. You don't have a monopoly on the truth as far as this is concerned.

Sorry if I lumped you in with k9 and wally for the wrong reason. Almost every liberal has said going into yugoslavia was right but even if it was what we did was waaaaay more wrong than whats going on in iraq.

See, as I said via PM, I still think it was the right thing to do based on historical reasons, and for the fact that at least the reasoning wasn't based on faulty information like the WMD scare.

But as I said, it was an unbalanced war, where we picked sides when no side was "right".

Why can't Europe just handle their own freaking business?

I'm an isolationist

militarily anyways. There's so many miserable, F'ed up places on this planet; there's no way ANY country can be the Great White Father, even a country as great as the USA.
I did find it ironic that that "peace" was achieved in Bosnia via heavy bombing of cities by our Air Force, resulting in the usual "collateral damage".
btw - someone on this board had some sig stating that Clinton was a mass murderer - ok, then so is ANY president that presides over one our foreign adventures...

Your thoughts are extreme, but they are far from original.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs that went on in Bosnia and regardless of ones party affiliation.

Unless I am very much mistaken, right now that part of the world is fairly peaceful. At the very least no more mass graves are being dug and filled.

You see very focused on the bad and ignoring the good, which in that case is that the killing has stopped. Has the internal hatred, I doubt it, that part of the world has been pissed off with their niebours for years.

I'm not sure if you heard of it but that hated was the spark that started a small war a few years ago, it was called World War 1. The assination of Arch Duke Ferdinand.

Right now it is clam and that can't be a bad thing.

I lived across the way from a family that lived in Yugoslavia, as well. The were very happy and appreciative to the United States for (1) welcoming them when they emigrated and (2) helping to secure their country.

Things were touch and go all over Yugoslavia, but things are about 8 billion times better now than when the United States and our NATO Allied got involved.
