P&R Rule Revision Update (Part II)

For those that care to know - Just got word back from the admins that they can't make the physical changes work because of "conflicts" with the vbulletin software and apparently we can't authorize individual smileys to individual forums...its an all or nothing deal.

I'm kinda bummed on this because the revised subforum would have taken care of most of the issues cited by posters.

Another challenge in-which we couldn't resolve was that the owners of this board has a policy of no "free-for-all" forums in-which the content could spill over into other forums.

So in summary - There will be no changes to the existing rules or procedures the P&R moderators handle dishing out disciplines.

At the very least there is more of an awareness among the moderators regarding the issues and hopefully there will be a bit more sensitivity on actions taken.

Any particular reason this was posted in this sub forum? Since this is Part Two where is Part One?

Part 1 was the "This is what we would like to do" thread. Unfortunately those aren't feasible due to the aforementioned reasons.

I am very receptive to changing the things we can alter, like bannings and what not. I personally am trying to be less reactionary.

3. The last one inwhich it has proven a bit too much to implement is a type of "Infraction System" tool that is auto determined to help the P&R moderators and the posters. However - that idea is practically being shelved until we learn more about it.

There will be no changes to the existing rules or procedures the P&R moderators handle dishing out disciplines. However, the revised subforum should resolve 90% of the issues cited by posters.

Implementing stuff like that does take time because the Administrators have to measure every variable inwhich the overall board can be affected before releasing it.
