How much you want to bet she has a show on Foxnews by years end. She stands to make a lot more money taking advantage of the stage McCain gave her. I'm sure along with her book deal came other offers for a media spotlight.

She needs to make a porn with Tina Fey...that would earn my vote!

This will free her up for what she has already been doing, campaigning for Prez 2012.
Frankly, I would LOVE to see her as the Repub. nominee.

That prospect terrifies me. I think she could actually have a chance.

Andrea Mitchell on Palin
"I have been told she is out of politics period."
"She has had it and [is] out of politics."
"She is fed up with politics, she doesn't like her life, she needs to raise her family."
"She really does not want to run for higher office."
"She has told some of her biggest backers in the national Republican party that they are free to chose other candidates for 2012."

She wasn't Mother Theresa for sure, but the hysteria (or is it paranoia...) over her still amazes me...
And based upon Andrea Mitchell's reporting, this is just further evidence that only the bottom-feeding, scum-sucking, sell-my-soul to the highest bidder Americans are willing to wade into the quicksand of national politics...
Anyone who makes it to elected office, particularly those inside the beltway, are all worthless scum... all of them...

I'll explain why 82.
Thanks to McCain, we have/had the possibility of the dumbest, most uneducated, bigoted candidate for president in the history of the US.
Coupled with her far right religious views, there was a definable chance she the GOP might just nominated her. Stupid yes but the GOP is heading towards the Evangelical far right party, so it was barely possible.
Form the Democrats view, she is the best thing since Rush but if she did get nominated there is still that faint chance she could be elected ... And that is what the issue is.
IS it likely now, but the disaster for the country if it happened would be incalculable

nidan, I'm done debating, attacking and/or defending Palin... She's gone and I wish her the best in whatever she chooses next.
My post was more of a commentary on our woefully pathetic and sad political scene... and as so many others here have described in great and accurate detail, they are all bilking us over and over and over again... You can scream all you want about where the Republican Party is headed and what people like Palin "would have done". Meanwhile, the scum that actually do hold office are sticking broomsticks up your butt 24x7....

Sorry you feel that way 82, I wasn't trying to be argumentative.
Its just despite the utterly remote chance she could succeed [the the reasons I stated], in that outside chance the damage to the country would be huge.

I don't know - nor do you, what would happen if she somehow ascended to a high office (POTUS maybe). You get your kicks speculating and that's cool I guess. However, your comment about "the damage would be huge" is comical...
We are heading into oceans deep of debt - levels even the most pessimistic prognosticators never imagined... Unemployment is at a two-decade high and about to go higher... Many states are techinically insolvent, as is our country... And our fearless leaders only desire to spend more, in huge, gross amounts...
But yea - Palin would have caused "huge" damage...
