He is truly a disgusting and repugnant person. MSNBC should be ashamed they ever put him on to begin with.

So the First Ammendment of our mighty Constitution only applies to the left-wing?

Screw that!

Instead of firing him, they shuld have him defend his comments on air in a debate against someone with an opposing viewpoint. Let people make up their own minds when it comes to ignorance.

Ken - there comes a time when a broadcaster has to decide to whether the host is good for business or not, and whether he has crossed a line or not. Weiner (his real last name) definately has crossed the line by calling for people he disagrees with to die.

His comments are indefensible. He also has called for the internment of all Chinese-Americans.

That is a very inflammatory statement, but what really drove him to say it? Ratings would be my guess. The more someone like that isn't listened too, the more they yell.

Regardless, Mr. Weiner seems to me to be quite an ignorant individual, and should only have been on the air as an example of what not to be...

It just seems that Freedom of Speech is often quelled too quickly. especially if it breaks the status quo of our society's idea of centristic norms.

Very true. MSNBC is a privately owned company and can hire and fire as it sees fit (within reason)...

I actually caught one of his radio broadcasts before.

He is quite possibly, the biggest piece of **** I've ever heard on radio. He was talking about the "disease" called liberalism, and he said liberals should die. I've never felt more offended in my life.

He is basically one step away from being a fricking Nazi.

If liberalism is a disease, conservativism is brain damage.

It's not so much Free Speech that I was concerned with as it was Common Sense which definitely seems to be lacking.

Very true. If MSNBC had used common sense, they would have never hired him in the first place.
