If Kerry doesn't get elected, I would almost bet that Hillary will get the nod for the Democrats in 2008. Wouldn't it be hilarious if the Republicans then named Condeleza Rice as the Republican candidate? I would just love it!!!!

If we ever had 2 women running against each other for President, this country would be a lot more progressive than it is now. This country is too backwater for something like that to happen any time soon.

What I'd really like to see is something like Schwarzenegger vs. Obama in the next non-incumbent election, that'd be interesting. Two men both born on foreign soil running for president.

When I worked in the PA Governor's office, I had a chance to watch George Stefanopoulous (spelling?) in person. Very cool guy---very up front, told the blunt, ugly facts on the Clintons, etc. When he fielded questions, he was asked when he thinks a female will be elected president and when. He appeared quite sad, and said it would be 2008 and it would be Hillary Clinton...and he added how he would worry for the US if that were the case.

I agree...my God, what an unmitigated disaster that would be!

The Constitution would have to be amended for that to happen. No one born outside the US can run for president.

No matter how miserable a Kerry presidency is, and I'm not getting my hopes up, they will not try to unseat him themselves. If Kerry wins, Hillary will have to wait until 2012.

They can if they were born on a military base. Or if they were born in one of the 13 original colonies before it was made a state (though I don't think the latter is really an issue right now)

A military base is like an extension of the United States, so you are correct. That's no different than someone being born in Mesa or New York City.

At least Bubba Clinton came up poor and REALLY knew what it was like for regular Americans.

I saw Hillary on TV the other night and politics aside, I finally figured out why I don't like her. My ex-father-in-law from my first marriage was a good ole southern boy from down KY. way. He was a man I greatly admired. Great sense of humor, loved to drink, but tough as nails when he was on the job. He married a gal about whom the term "ice Queen" was invented. What a terrible woman and she treated him very badly. He passed away some years ago, but she is still living and making all the people around her miserable.

Bill Clinton reminds me a lot of my ex-father-in-law. Hillary reminds me of my ex-mother-in-law. No wonder I don't like her.
