Is this a Politically Correct thing to say?

Seems to me that the word "homo" is being used in a negative way. I wonder what Dback Jon thinks of this usage?

Political Correctness is as much an instigator of what it purports to correct. It's one of the worst things that's happened to this country.

You could also have titled this thread "tattle-tale", which is more of what it's about.
Let's grow up guys.

When is it not 'tattle-tale' and complaining about someone's behavior?
Or, does it depend on who the offender is and/or how long he's been posting?

There is SO much crying on this board.
I imagine Jon has been called far worse things by more ignorant people. Some simpleton using 3rd grade playground tactics to try and insult someone, which is more indicitive of his brain power than his proclivity to be discriminatory is most likely the lEAST of Jon's worries.
Get over it.
And Wayward, youre being a troublemaker again.

There are ways to complain about someone's behaviour and it's called telling the moderators via private message, or something out of the public eye.
Which he already did actually, which was fine.
But then he took it out here, copied some comment he posted about a slang term for gays, and then posted it here for everyone to see, in order to get him in trouble. That's lowering himself to the level of the guy he was complaining about.
I already had spoken to King of Cards this morning, and he said he was sorry...now it's been taken to another level.
And Wayward, you've been here a long time now as well, and if anyone new to this board would have given me/us the crap you have been, we'd be saying see ya. We don't need to take this from you.
Jim pays for this board with his own cash, you guys do nothing to support it other than post on it, so he can run it the way he wants...so why don't you drop it already?
Mike

But Dad, I'm just trying to determine the requisites and favoritisms that lead to who gets 'warned', who gets banned, and who skates.

You know, you're right. I shouldn't be an ass about it. And you're right about who pays for this board.
But look at it from my viewpoint for a moment. Someone gets booted for several reasons. Others, who have committed the SAME transgressions, don't. It just so happens that the one that gets booted speaks conservative and the others are liberal.
Now, I'm sure I don't know the whole story and I can live with that. But I'm old fashioned. I believe in fairness and chivilry and all that good stuff. Selective attention and punishment frustrates the hell out of me.
So, you now know that. So, I'll drop it.
Sean
P.S. I don't appreciate being threatened with banning.

Well, I'm sorry about that, but it's just to prove a point really.
If you've had a friend for 10 years, and suddenly he was a jerk to you, you'd likely forgive him and things would get back to normal.
If you had just met someone last weekend, and he insults your sister today, you have no background with this guy, he's a punk, so you'd probably just stop hanging out with him.
That's the same thing with this board. If someone new shows up and immediately starts to cause trouble, we have no idea who he is, or why he's acting this way. More than likely, he's just a guy who likes to cause trouble on message boards.
On the other hand, when guys have been on this board for a year or two, and have gotten to know everyone, even met each other in person, you realize that when they say a jerk thing, it's just a slip up. Now, if someone continually is a jerk and does it on purpose, that might change.
But you get my point I hope. I've been monitoring boards for awhile now, going on 4 years. I've had experience with trouble-makers, so I can usually tell when someone is just being a jerk.

Interesting.....
I have been so doped up the past week (Wisdom teeth removed, dry socket= massive pain, darvocet). I did not even notice. Thanks for pointing it out, Coyote Tony, I mean Strong Bad, err Whatchimacallit.
Since Chandler Mike has addressed this already, no need for further comment.
Have a nice Labor Day!! Go Big Red!!
Dback (trying to figure out how to come down from Darvocet) Jon

I sure won't disagree with you, but there is a point to him using this term in such a negative manner. He obviously meant it as an insult.
