In the short time that I have been here I understand ...
... that there are those who trust science as their god and there are those who trust the Bible as being from God. There have been threads on just about everything there could be on these two subjects. Those who trust science as their god will never coinvince those who trust the Bible as being from God and the opposite is true.
So my question is why are there still threads and posts on the subject when all it does is cause bad blood?

Because we like to "discuss" things, hence the reason we're doing this on a "discussion forum"...interesting.
If you're bored of it, or it wont change your opinion, then feel free to stay off the threads.
But as a Christian, it's my job to speak freely about my faith and share with others...and if somehow that might turn someone to believe in Jesus, then I've done my job.
I can't turn away from these things.

No one here trusts science as their God.

With things being repeated for the 5th, 6th and 7th time (just using different phrases and words) the discussion of relevance is long past and it has now become more like a War of Posts between the two camps.

Standing the heat is not the issue ... anybody else have no air cond. in their vehicle??? ... I can stand the heat, friend. I am intelligent enough to recognize a useless topic of conversation when I see it.
CM, I understand the christians need to evangelize. But, how often do you tell the same information to someone who keeps rejecting it?

Until I start making sense to them, or they decide to leave the conversation.
If the topic is so useless to you, then please feel free to stay out of it...but we want to keep talking about it, so leave it be.

Strong, out of principle, I will have to disagree with you
Yes, a number of the arguments are repeated, but it is amazing the new info that I learn from both sides in "old" arguments. Plus, many times, the old arguements spark a totally new topic to argue about
Also - sure beats the heck outta standing on the corner yelling at people

I am simply asking a question while stating some observations. I never told or asked you to stop. Not sure if "they" will leave the conversation as I believe "they" are waiting for the same from "you". And it is way too easy to comment on the "making sense" part so I will just leave that one alone.

That's what I meant by saying the same thing is being repeated just ion different ways. How many times does one have to take a sentence from the Bible out of context and claim that what it is talking about should not be taken literally?
