I Think I'm Gonna Puke.....

(Hope this is the right category for this...)

Here we go again.... We always have to have someone to blame I guess...... The article is a bit long, but worth reading for those who get tired of people always looking to rationalize and project....

Thrill Rides

Geeeeezzzzz. perhaps we should all be required to spend our entire lives in padded rooms so as to never have to risk being injured.....

What the heck is a four year old doing on a ride like this anyway? If I remember correctly this is epcots version of space mountain, The ride I had such strained neck muscles I couldn't look at the hotties for 20-minutes cause I couldn't tell which way the ride was going to jerk so I just tensed all of my muscles up.

BTW- I saw parents all weekend long trying to get around the height requirements at Disney when we went last. There is quite a good time to be had on the Peterpan and Teacup rides with little kids. They don't really need the crap scared out of them for enjoyment at 4 or 5 years old.

Whats crazy is this 4-year old reportedly met the 44inch (3 feet 8 inches)height requirement! That must have been the tallest 4year old in history!

lol! Next time we go to Disney there will be a disclaimer:

"You must be this tall. Unless your a freak of nature and your parents are too stupid to realize that you are still only four years old and in which case your parents IQ must be this tall. Please keep arms legs and your parents thick skulled heads inside the ride at all times".

I'm not sure but when I first heard this on the news they reported that he was significantly shorter than the height requirement, thus placing the majority of the blame on the parents. I really don't know which is true. Either way, I can't imagine having my boy die from something as stupid as that. I don't believe in the parents wildest dreams that sneaking the kid on the ride had possible fatal repurcussions.

If he was under the hieght requirement Disney will be losing a lot of money in that suit. Parents should be held responsible if they snuck him on, but it is ultimately up to park employees to enforce.

They usually have a height checker at ride boarding area for just such an occasion.

I wonder how many hundreds of thousands of individuals have ridden this ride? I don't know how a fatality like this could be foreseen. It was just a tragic mishap regardless of the circumstances. I feel sad for the family.

More than 8.6 MILLION people have ridden this ride (including yours truly, 3 times).

40... Your analysis above is right on.... Just a tragic accident, and I suspect that if this kid was that fragile, something else would have killed him in childhood. Don't mean to be cold, but it is what it is....
