"I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach.
It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry."
That is ludicrous for him to say...
I really hate it when people preface claims with "I heard from a very reliable source ..." Who is the source Minister?
Until you put that source out there, I file your claim under "whaterver" along with other pundints from the left and the right who supply the same "evidence."
Why do people always gravitate towards the most extreme views?
Do I believe Farrakan’s claim? No, but I don't think it is a stretch to say that the poorest parts of New Orleans which is predominately black have been largely ignored for decades.
I do however believe he really doesn't care so much for non party contributing poor folks. By this I mean there are many who believe that their poverty is their own fault.

nidan, when poverty stretches to the 3rd and 4th generation, it's their fault.
Anybody can have a run of bad luck, but it doesn't need to extend beyond one generation.

Who's fault are you taking about? If a child is born (as a 3rd of 4th generation) how is their situation their fault?
They did not ask to be born into poverty, but are subject to the stigma and results of that poverty.
Is it their fault they grow up in a familly that has given up hope where decent education is either not possible or not a proity in the house hold? Is it there fault they live in a neighborhood that is filled with drug dealers, prostitiutes, gangs etc?
Is it their fault that they are discriminated against on a daily bases either by race or socioeconomic predjudice?
The whole "rags to riches" story is mostly myth and happens to about .001% of the population.
I can hardly faulty many of them, for they have grown up in a sysytem that is largely stacked against them.
It takes money to get money in this country and growing up in poverty and having to look forward to low paying jobs is not the way to upward mobilty.
I would argue that most of them are actually hard working folks, they are the janitors, sewage workers, ect. and I would hardly diminish them just because they are poor.

First, i think the poster is talking about 3rd and 4th generation welfare recipients. You cant be a janitor and get welfare.
Second, Who is the system stacked for? I mean the majority of very successful people I know got their success from very hard work. Shame on them I suppose. The system was geared towards them but stacked against everyone else.
