Like for instance the parts in the bible that mention that rich people will either not be able to go to heaven or have a hard time getting in heaven...
Does that mean we shouldn't root for our team or their players? I mean they are all rich right? We are basically rooting for an organization that is sinful, that showers their players with a huge amount of money while making the owners richer. Are we contributing to people going to hell?! Isn't that wrong?
Shouldn't we be spending our money on helping the poor and helping in soup kitchens? Shouldn't we not be a fan of a player if he doesn't give most of his money to charity? I mean the life he is leading is sinful and we are admiring him!
Stephan32, when you rooted for Stephan wasn't that wrong? Wasn't he making too much money and won't he end up in hell? That shouldn't be the type of person you admire right? Are you contributing to him going to hell by watching him on television or going to the games. Doing those things gives the organization and him more money makeing it even more impossible for him to avoid hell!
That's why I sometimes choose not to take the bible too literarly because of things like this that I think of. It would just be too hard to live life that way and I don't think god would want us to. If I did believe that all these people were going to burn in hell or I was giving them a better chance of burning in hell I definitely wouldn't contribute to it by wathcing them on tv or paying for tickets for the game!

You can be rich and go to heaven...that's not what that analogy means...
It just means, that most people, if they are rich and well off, will likely have a WAY harder time giving it all up to follow Jesus, than someone who doesn't have much to give up.
To work your whole life because you just WANT to be made of money, might mean you completely focus on money, and not on much else...you almost worship money in a away.
But I think there are people who are rich who that isn't the focus of their life, they just are successful, but still know it's all from God, and will give it all up if he asked.

Being Rich or Poor has no bearing on whether one goes to heaven or not. It has to do with repentance and faith in Christ.

This is akin to what the Pharasees did - they couldn't see past the letter of the Law to the Spirit of the Law.
It has zero to do with being rich or poor - it has everything to do with faith.

That depends on how far the Bible says to take itself. I have found that Bible takes itself literally except when it says that it is not. So, unless the Bible tells me otherwise, I will take it literally.

So God created Adam from dirt?

See Ryan, biblical literalists (read fundamentalists) require all nonbelievers to have scientific evidence of things and for everything to follow the laws of science.
But their own beliefs completely contradict science.

Dirt can't be created from nothing.

It cracks me up when evolutionary folks bash the bible because of the idea that God simply called the universe into existence by His own power, without using any pre-existing materials.
And yet when evolutionists dismiss such stuff as involving supernatural action, which is unscientific by their definition - they turn around and say the universe evolved itself out of nothing!

I thought you believed in Creation to an extent though Krang.

I do. To an extent.
The source of the Universe, is God himself. But I don't claim to understand the processes of God like the Bible does (and in a very primitive way).
