Basicly it appears it is just a publicity move by Russell Pearce, who is looking to higher office.
The most interesting part of this is where he wants to put flags and how that shows that this nothing more than political theatre.
As somebody here mentioned, in most Arizonaclassrooms there is already a flag. Apparently the issue is not elementry or high schools where the enforced /fake patriotism is already in full swing. In this SWD has the highground, at least he did voulenteer for military service.
No apparently the battleground in the community colleges and universities where Russell Pearce wants to extend the visible presenace of our flag. Now bear with me because it's clear all he really wants is some publicity.
Apparently most CC and universities have tried to explain to him the problem. The whole modus operani is different. The classrooms/lecture rooms are open all the time. Apparently anything not nailed down tends to grow legs andwalk out of the door.
They have tried explaining this to him and he is oblivious, all he cares about is the publicity. Actually implementing this is not relevant, he neither cares if they must change their whole methid of operation for this or if the state would need to buy new flags each week. All he cares about is the publicity.

Actaully they tried to explain that it wasn't flags. It was anything that was in the classrooms was likely to walk.
All he is interested in is some publicity at our exepnse.
Somehow, in my mind's eye, I just can't envision a scenario where a thief would give up precious cargo space on the getaway van for a cache of Flags. Like forget the computer work stations, grab the flags. Ooops, another smiley.
