The wonderful world of Disney has just decided to block the release of Michael Moore's movie, " Fahrenheit 9/11 ". To read the details of this censorship move check this out.
It's not being banned. Disney's just not distributing it. Big difference. I'm sure Michael Moore has plenty of liberal friends in Hollywood who will distribute it.

They hold the American rights and can hold back it's release in the U S.
It will be shown at Cannes Film Festival this month.

Mr. Moore's agent, Ari Emanuel, said Michael D. Eisner, Disney's chief executive, asked him last spring to pull out of the deal with Miramax. Mr. Emanuel said Mr. Eisner expressed particular concern that it would endanger tax breaks Disney receives for its theme park, hotels and other ventures in Florida, where Mr. Bush's brother, Jeb, is governor.
Hmmm....Sounds like what everyone in the media has said about the Bush royal family. If you don't say what they want you to say, they put political pressure (unlike any admin before) to force you to say what they want.

Yeah, we know Michael Moore's agent is an unbiased source. Funny how there was no outrage when no major studio would distribute The Passion of the Christ.
Damn Hollywood! That bastion of right-wing ideology!

Disney is owned by rightwingers...
But this isn't anything new in the White House. The media and big business was scared of angering Clinton too.
You can deny it if you want, but this is obvious, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, the President can put a halt on any media related material he wants or at least put political pressure. No media agency wants to miss the scoop, or in Disney's case, wants to lose out on tax breaks.
Continue on with your "Republicans are great, Democrats suck" thought process (in my mind, they both "suck").
Like having gay/lesbian nights at their parks? Very right wing.
The only think most right wingers like more than "high and mighty morality" is money. The gay/lesbian nights were paid for. Disney Land in Anaheim has had RAVES there before...

No doubt. Political grandstanding is great for his movies.
