Ex Us Attorney for New Mexico on Daily Show Yesterday
Anybody else catch that ?
The guy was a loyal Bushie. Conservative, Hispanic, Evangelical and Republican.
His comment is that removing Attorneys mid term like that is unprecedented but that he was still surprised.
He was asked to pursue politically motivated cases right before an election, which in his words is "against the DoJ Standard Operating procedure". He refused as there was not sufficient evidence and thought it was over.
He had not been expecting the political retribution. He also commented that several US attorneys did comply and one is currently under indictment.
Despite being a loyal Bushie he was fired, I guess loyalty is one thing, assisting them to corrupt our justice and political system is going to far.
