Do you believe there is a heaven and an afterlife?
I was wondering if you guys believe there is a heaven and if there is enough evidence to believe it.
I find it very interesting when we hear stories about people who almost died and they said they witnessed the light at the end of the tunnel.
Also interesting is to hear stories about people floating over their own body and seeing themselves dead.
It makes you really curious about what happens to our soul when we die.

I believe in reincarnation, so technically I don't believe in heaven.

I think reincarnation is almost more implausible that going to heaven or an afterlife.
First off, if we are reincarnated, none of has any clue about it. You'd think if it was true, then at least I'd have been reincarnated myself, so I'd have some clue.
And if for some reason it happens and I don't know about it, what's the point? I know for certain I have no feelings whatsoever that I used to "be someone else"...so what's the point?
And who is in charge of this reincarnation? Surely we just don't automatically get reborn somehow? And if someone is in charge, I'd love to know what the whole point of it is, especially since I have no clue about it.
As far as I know about reincarnation, when I die, there is nothing to look forward to, because I obviously wont be taking anything from my previous life with me.

BTW, I believe in heaven and eternal life, if you are saved.

I think reincarnation makes sense. You come back life after life and learn new things.

Still haven't explained to me who is in charge of reincarnation...
And what have I learned from previous lives that is helping me? If we've been around for thousands of years, and we're all learning new things, how come stupid people still exist?

My theory is this: Stupid people are "younger" souls than the older and wiser men. For example, Brian in Mesa would be a little bit older soul than me and I am way older than Krang
But, who dictates all of this? I would assume a heavenly being

I don't believe in reincarnation or heaven.
I believe when you die you are dead. You only survive in memories of the living.

Also, think of this: I am DEATHLY affraid of deep water, and I am a huge WWII history buff. I went to this psychic lady and she told me I died in the Pacific ocean during WWII in my past life. I don't really believe that mumbo jumbo, but it creeped me out because I didn't tell her about my fear of deep cold water.

1. You forget that you have been reincarnated. Being forced into the body of an infant with very weak a nervous system and having to "relearn" the world will make one forget about their past lives.
2. You learn lessons from life to life, trying to perfect oneself to reach new spiritual enlightenment. Invariably some of us miss out on this journey, and keep having to learn the same lessons over and over again.
3. The same guy or thing that is in charge of your heaven . But we are all a part of God (or as I call him/it, the source). We are basically stray parts of God, wanting to return to him, but we can not until we are perfect, or enlightened. The reason is simple, yet so complex that none of us could possibly understand.
4. When you die, you see all of the moments of your life, all of the grand moments and all of the lows. The world is broken down into the material and the nonmaterial....and when you die you no longer have any need for the material This is a moment of choice. You can choose to go back on your journey (life) or you can become entralled by the material world (which is why ghosts exist).
These are my thoughts on reincarnation. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, and I'm still learning.

You are correct....though I personally would put you on a lower level of spiritual existence.
