Beck Out at Fox News

Quote:
Glenn Beck will end his daily Fox News Channel program later this year.

His departure was jointly announced in a statement on Wednesday by Fox and Mr. Beck’s company, Mercury Radio Arts. The statement did not specify an end date for the show, called “Glenn Beck,” which has been telecast at 5 p.m. on Fox News since early 2009. Mr. Beck’s contract with Fox ends in December.

...

In the statement on Wednesday, Mr. Beck said he would be starting a “new phase” of a partnership with Roger Ailes, the chairman of Fox News. “I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and Fox News,” he said.

Roger Ailes has never been more than a Republican political operative; always was and always will be.

AMERICA owes nothing to him other than a big middle finger in the face of his propaganda.

I am quite bemused that this is the major headline story of the day everywhere I turn. What, did Charlie Sheen sober up?

All that says is that one show is ending. He very well could get a show called "Dancing with Glenn Beck" in its place.

Who knows.

I doubt it, probably a good looking and thoughtful intelligent fresh new face for the upcoming elections. It looks like Fox and the Republicans are trying to get rid of some bad image with Beck's tired blah blahs and the Tea Party's fire ant style political kung fu attacks.
Beck will probably just do radio for now and will still keep his followers "informed".

Maybe he'll team up with Keith Olbermann?

Sorta a Hannity and Colmes duet?

I posted this for you, DEI. I figured you had to start thinking about what you were going to fill your 5 PM TIVO timeslot with...

Ya for making Beck richer than rich.

Fox was starting to lose advertisers. This was their attempt to distance themselves from him. I hear he's going to start his own pay-per-view Internet network.
