6 grams
Just heard about this movie. Evidently every body loses 6 grams upon death. I found that to be really interesting. Any thoughts on it?

I looked into it. Some people tried to prove it scientifically but were unable to do so. So far it is a fable.

No this occurs in bodies that do not empty their bowels as well.

The idea is the soul weighs 6 grams so when people die the soul leaves the body and the body loses 6 grams right at the time of death.
It is a really nice story but I have not found any study that has been able to prove this.

Actually, I think you guys are referring to "21 grams", a recent movie starring Sean Penn. It was pretty good, saw it on video this weekend.
Here is the website if you want to check it out.
