2004 Voter Turn Out

Will voter turn out be more or less for the 2004 Presidential Election?

Who will that benefit and why?

I believe both parties have done a better job in this election to mobilize their base and to sign up new voters. With the negative campaigning between both parties further dividing this country - I see a bigger turnout from both sides in trying to win this election.

I'm still afraid about the potential law suits that will come out of this though on Nov. 3rd....

I tend to agree with that, but I hope it doesn't serve to turn people off.

More turnout - lots of new voters - benefits Kerry.

Personally, I have not spoken to anyone who has switched their vote to Bush. But, working for the Kerry election I have met many who are switching to Kerry after voting for either Bush or Nader in 2000 including tons of Vets. Now my source is biased in that area, but my family who all voted for Bush in 2000 has switched to Kerry.

I think the turnout will be much better this time and I am hoping it helps Kerry.

I think about the same.

AZ had about 70% turnout in 2000 (AZWINS -- Prop 302!!). Hard to top that.
