Free puppy!

My wife and I adopted this mixed Labrador puppy, Daisy, off of frecycle.com as a companion to our 2-year-old midget GS/Akita. She's 9 mos. old and loves dogs and kids and people and ... anything else she can lick. Her last owner told us she loved the family's cat, but I have no independent verification of that. She loves our dog so much he's getting irritated with the all the attention and getting possessive. She's a needy girl -- needs lots of attention. They play well all day, but she has unbounding energy at night he just doesn't have anymore, and it's become a major problem.

The wife and I decided last night if we can find a better home for Daisy, it would probably be better for the sanity of everyone in the house.

Daisy is cage trained, learned how to use the doggie door in about 10 minutes, and we started her on simple obedience commands last week. She's pretty much mastered "sit" already and we're working on "lay down." Still needs to be leash trained, and she will be a handful until that happens.

She's about 45 lbs. right now and I'm guessing based on the size of her paws she could approach 75 lbs. when she's done growing. She's had her shots and we have a free voucher for a spay.

To a loving family wishing to adopt her at no charge I will give you:

- A future valued family member (and one that loves to give hugs and kisses to boot)
- A very large dog cage
- An expensive dog collar
- Several toys
- A leash
- A variety of toys
- Any puppy kibble we have left (it's going faster than I expected)
- The free voucher to get her spayed

Daisy is a puppy and we're still teaching what's OK and what's not OK to chew, but she seems to be potty trained. We've had her over a week now and no accidents, not even when she's left in her cage for 8+ hours while we sleep.

Message me if you're interested. If you are looking for an addition to your puppy mill, don't bother to apply.

Thanks!

We've never heard her bark. If we've left her in the cage for most than 2 hours and come and rescue her, she makes this kind of ah-woo-woo sound, but it's weak and funny. If you strained yourself, you might hear "I love you." Our male dog Meeko barks at shadows.

Really tempting, she's cute. But I'm not going to get a dog until I get my backyard landscaped.

Only had the one, but I'd be happy to produce more if that's a selling point. Give me 24 hours.

Cute dog, Gad...I grew up with big dogs, dobermans, huskies (in Nebraska), heelers, etc. I am now a little dog kind of person, so we have a mini dachshund. Good luck finding a nice home for Daisy...

funny, I have a 10 months old mixed lab at home. Dont think I am ready for two dogs, especially of the same breed though.

Play date? My dog has enough energy for another dog.
