I had a $100 pair of sony headphones before for recording purposes, do these sound better?

Without hearing the Sony headphones I couldn't really say.
The Bose sound really good especially the low end.

I can almost guarantee you that these are better. I have a pair and they do not compare with any other headphones I have ever heard. Worth looking into for sure if you are interested in them....

Wow, those things are $299 on the Bose and Amazon web-sites. Not a bad price O. If I needed a pair, I would certainly consider them.
