I'm not much of a car guy, but I've never understood why a "Brand New Engine" is a selling point on a car that only a couple of years old. On a 1970 MG? Sure...you'd expect that maybe it'd need a new engine...but a 2000 Mustang? What happened that the engine was so bad that it needed to be replaced?

I'm not trying to simply stir the pot, but how in the world could that be a good thing?

LOL... no...

I don't know if it is a selling point or not, It does renew the Ford Warranty on the engine... We took it in with a tapping, the service order is on the sale posting... The found a crack in the #6 cylinder and replaced the engine...

If you bought this car prior to the engine being replaced you would have a 2000 car with 65,000 miles on the engine and no warranty... Now you are buying a 2000 car with 2800 miles on the engine and a 12 month warranty... I think mileage on an engine counts...

could be wrong... The good part is that it is my wife's car, she still likes it but wants to buy a mini-cooper... She figures if it sells then we will get the mini, if it does not sell then she will drive the mustang...

not a must sell deal, just kind of seeing what happens...
