Reverse cell phone lookup
Ok, I have prided myself for quite awhile on being able to find anyone and anything I want to online. Heck, that's even how I found this site, searching for someone! I have been stumped now on doing reverse lookups for cell phones though. I found sites that you pay them and they'll give you links to other sites... crap, crap, crap I say. Anyhow, I had just given up on the idea, until this evening, someone posted on the CouponSense message board this question and now I'm back to being annoyed by not knowing how to do this!
This is the post from the CS board,
Anyone know how/where to do a reverse cellphone lookup? Where you put the number and it tells the name and billing address? I can find lots of landline reverse lookups on the internet but can't find a cellphone one that they don't want to charge an arm and a leg for doing for you. Thanks for any help/info.
Maddog, I know from reading past posts that you are like a Google god. Any advice?

The best way to find anyone is lexis/nexus.
I could find just about anyone using that.
However I can only access it at work and don't dare access it for personal use.
Part of my job is to find people from any info provided. One time this woman called and reported that a man hit her vehicle and fled the scene. She had gotten his plate and called us before the police. He had a message on his answering machine advising him that I was with the insurance company of the vehicle he just hit before he got home from the accident.
Using lexus/nexis, in 10 minutes I had his name, address, place of business, ss#, last three addresses.
He called back and fessed up. If he didn't I would have sent someone to find the car, photograph the damages, fixed our car and sent him a bill. If he didn't respond with his insurance info, he would go to collections, I had his ss#. He's going to call back.
Only in America. Anyway, unless you want to pay I don't think you can run cell #'s, or if you have access to lexis/nexus.
If you do find out a way I would definetly be interested in it.

www.switchboard.com
has the ability to look up by phone number, but it doesn't specify cell phone.
Hope that helps, my frugal friend

I've tried switchboard before and it has only done landline to my memory. But I'll go back and look again to see if they've changed at all! Thx!

It doesn't work.
Little hint, if you are in a car accident get more than the responsible parties cell #. Off topic I know but will be helpful. Oh and don't rely on the police to get it. Find out the owner of the vehicle and his address. write down the license plate and the vin #.

Are you daring to hi-jack my thread? Oh, the audacity! Oh, wait a sec, I have no right to complain, I've been quite the thread hi-jacker the past few days!
Anyhow, I didn't think switchboard would work for cells. And thank you for the advice! It's always good to know!

Hey, KoC, what is it you do for a living, if you don't mind me asking! (I seem to remember reading it once, but I have a horrible memory!) Just curious!

I am an auto claims adjuster. I am the guy that issues the check when you get in an accident. I am also the guy the investigates the accident, determines who is at fault and goes after the responsible party and/or their insurance company to get the money back.
