Problems With Internet Explorer

Possibly the most annoying problem in the world, and I am hoping that there is a simple solution. For no apparent reason, every time I try to run internet explorer, I get a message saying windows explorer has encountered a problem, and has to close, so I am unable to get on the internet through internet explorer. I ran a virus scan, to see if there were corrupted files, but no luck. Any solutions to this problem? HELP!!!

If you go to add remove programs and find the internet explorer entry there should be a choice for repair internet explorer. That should get it working.

You may try hijackthis to see what kinds of things are plugged in that may be the cause. I have to repair my wifes internet explorer every couple of weeks. I just haven't spent any time to find the cause of the corruption yet.

Yea, make sure you do those updates. There are new holes found all the time. without the updates (and sometimes with them) sites can install junk into your IE browser without you knowing about it.

like I said check out hijackthis just be careful what you get rid of it might be something you want. The program does have an undo/repair feature.
