problem downloading to ipod

MY son was trying to download some songs to his Ipod using Itunes. After downloading was complete he gets an error message saying "cannot eject as some files are being used by other applications" or something similar to this. There are no other programs running.

Can any one tell me what this means and how to fix it??

If you go into the Settings tab in iTunes, you should be able to reset and reformat the iPod.

Are you sure no other programs are running? Check the processes list. Things like media players, limewire or file sharing programs etc could be using some of the files.

which media player are you using? You should have one that is loosely named after the media player. Do you use a filesharing program?
