I just received a booklet about my dorm room and it says I will need a "10base T-network card" for my high-speed Internet connection.
The problem is, I have no clue if I already have one of those in my computer. Is the network card the same as an ethernet card?
Right now, I do have DSL and I have two ethernet cards. One is "GVC-REALTEK Ethernet 10/100 PCI Adapter" and the other is "RealTek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC #2"
Ryan? Anyone?

If you see 10/100 those are Ethernet cards and that is what your DSL provider is looking for. You will see them called: NIC cards, network card, Ethernet card and a few others
I found something I don't have to buy!!! Woohoo...

No, just an inside joke that's like 4 years old, and Alan forgets that I'm one of only about 8 people who know about it, and he never talks to any of them besides me

True, but I figured our posters were smart enough to figure it out.
And umm, well, umm, I wasn't 100% correct.
