Kaspersky Anti-Virus

Anyone else out there running Kaspersky? I used to run Nortons which was ok I guess. But I tried out this Kaspersky AV and it's intercepted several trojans already from limewire. Which I know we ain't supposed to be on anyway, so topic for another day lol. But I've used limewire for years, old nortons on old pc maybe would catch an infection like once every few months or so. Kaspersky has detected 4 trojans this week alone and deleted them! So, all y'all out there downloading where ya know ya really shouldn't be.. Is your AV detecting this much? Time to try Kaspersky then

I heard a lot of good things about Kaspersky. I tried installing the trial version of it, but it said it wasn't compatible with my Comodo firewall and my Window Washer, so I didn't complete the install.

bought off their website for 30. Installed it and it made the computer run like crap. It would crash at anytime. Wrote to their support dept and they wanted me to run some software so they could see why my computer was crashing, however it would get hung up at one of the applications.

When I informed them of this I never got a reply. I have asked for a refund but haven't heard anything. Its been a week or so.

I run it and love it. Fry's will usually have a 3-license version for about $70 and then two rebates, so it's basically free.

Used to use Norton until.... 2005 or 2006, but it became so bloated and took forever at system start up. I researched/tested several AV's before finally choosing this one. There are some compatibility issues with firewalls.

Interesting... I'm using Comodo and switched to Comodo specifically because Zone Alarm didn't work with Kaspersky. There was an issue running outlook in that they both wanted to scan the email which in turn would not let outlook connect to the mail server.

I'm also running the Comodo AV on another computer - the one i use as at DL client - and it has worked solid as well.

Once the Kaspersky AV runs out i may switch to all Comodo, depending on the Kaspersky license renewal cost.
