How do you get more memory on your computer?

Without having to buy more.

Can you delete or uninstall certain programs to get back some memory?

I bout mvp baseball for the PC instead of ps2 and it absolutely looks like crap on my computer (xp, only like 2 years old). I shoulda bought it for ps2. ugh.

the box says i need 256mb of ram, and i checked my comp and it said i have 254. anyway of getting that 2 mb of ram back?

You probably dont' have a graphics card. But memory that you speak of has to be purchased.

Direct X is a program that does something, not quite sure what....but a graphics card is essentially what your monitor plugs into, along with it produces your image and such...computer experts would be better at this then I am. Hope that helps a bit.

DirectX basically allows programmers to write their code to work with any piece of graphics acceleration. If you are programming a game, instead of writing code for every combination of hardware that a consumer might have they write the code just to work with Microsofts DirectX and it decodes what hardware you have and makes it work.

If you have 254 MB of RAM you have onboard video and not a PCI or AGP graphics card. The onboard video is "borrowing" RAM from your system. These sorts of systems are not gaming machines unfortuanately

you can add more memory or a new graphics card to your PC. If give me the model number of your PC I can see how much it would cost you.
