Open Tryouts 9/2003

From the Republic....

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/ratt...tlers0923.html

of Note...

"Coach Danny White said the tryouts had the best talent he's seen at any previous camp. More than 100 skill-position players went through drills Sunday, with more than 80 linemen coming out for Monday's workout.

Former Mesa Mountain View and Ohio State quarterback Joe Germaine, former af2 quarterback Gus Ornstein, former Cardinals quarterback Stoney Case, former San Diego State quarterback Lon Sheriff and former University of Toledo quarterback Bryan Jones were among a group of 18 quarterbacks who stood out. Sheriff was in the Miami Dolphins' camp this summer..."

Stoney Case, who'd have thought?

Doesn't the Rattlers have an open tryout for the public as well? I wouldn't mind trying out for HB/Safety

The tryouts were open to the public. I haven't heard if there will be other public tryouts. But you could always give them a call and see.

The Arizona Rattlers will be holding their annual open tryouts on Sunday September 21st and Monday September 22nd at the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum. The tryouts were to be held at America West Arena, but were moved due to construction at AWA.
