Thread suggestion

How about letting people know how many people are viewing a thread with in a certain topic.

For exapmle: Under the heading "politics and religion" it will say, "(3 people viewing)"

How about using that indicator on each topic with in a category?

When I play rock, paper, scissors, I keep a glass of water in my hand and when my opponent throws down I throw the water in his face and say "Water". Beats all three, scissors can't cut-it, paper dissolves and the rock sinks. Plus it usually surprises the hell out of them.

That feature is already active.

If you are browsing a thread and scroll to the bottom, there will be a "currently active users viewing this thread" in the footer.

I would like to see it in the list of threads, so I don't have to click on each one to see where the conversations are happening. Just a thought...

Since this is the "thread suggestion" thread. I suggest that someone should start a thread about turkey sandwiches. I could even suggest a title: "Turkey Sandwiches".

Personally I find thanksgiving left overs taste so much different than turkey you get at the deli counter. Moreover, I hate that really cheap rubbery watery crap turkey they sell at the deli that is like $4.99/lb. Give me oven roasted any day.....

Tell us Ryan, how do you REALLY feel about turkey?
Here's a question for you. Do you feel it's ok to eat oven roasted turkey without all the "Thanksgiving" fixins?

Hey, Ryan - have you ever noticed that a sandwich tastes better when someone else makes it? Why is that?

The main forum page shows how many are viewing in each forum, each thread shows how many are viewing within it (as jw7 said), or you can go to Who's online? and look there.

I think I actually understand LIAC's request.

When you're looking at a list of forums, it shows the number of people viewing that forum. But when you are looking at the list of threads within a forum, you have to actually click on each thread to see where the activity is at. I can imagine for someone with a slow internet connection, saving one click could be saving a lot of time. If the thread list had (1 viewing) or something like that next to the thread name, then people would know where the other members are currently at. The Who's Online thing isn't very helpful, because it doesn't show where all the invisible users are at, whereas, the (5 viewing) thing on the forum list includes invisible members and guests.

I guess it's not that big a deal to most of us.

How hard is it to look at the New Posts or Today's Posts and find something to comment on?

Whatever has been posted on most recently should be right there.

Sounds like Loyalty is looking more for a chat room than a message board?

I don't think it's a big deal either. Just acting as his interpreter.
