I get this about once in every twenty posts when I reply to a thread.

I've never run into this. Anyone else having this problem?

If its a recurring thing Mike has a db repair script that may need to be run.

Sometimes it happens to me. I had a lenghty response to the Noah's ark theory - like 7 paragraphs & when I hit the submit button - it did that. Boy was I pissed.

I haven't responded to that thread since. IT was good fodder. But alas, I forgot mostly what I wrote

That happened to me like 50 times with a post I was trying to make Easter. I don't think anyone could post all day long.

I was so pissed after it happened the 50th time I threw my computer out the window.

I couldn't post at all on Easter. I typed a long ass reply to the happy Easter thread (before it got crazy) and I think I actually had a serious post wishing everyone a happy holiday and whatnot and when I hit enter I got that message. When you post a long reply and it gets erased that just totally kills your spirit. I couldn't post again and felt like an empty shell of a man.

Yes, it's actually happened to me w/in the past 2-wks on 3 different computers.... Initally I thought it might have had incorrect settings on my computer, however, that theory was obviously proven wrong...

OK, question. When this happens, is this after you type a really long post, or maybe bring up the reply box, take a break, and then reply? Or does it sometimes happen immediately responding to a post?

Also, if you hit the back button is your post still there and can you re-reply?

Might be a cookie-session problem if it is due to long durations between bringing up the post and replying. If it is not consistent on the same post, then it doesn't sound like a db problem.

Sometimes immediately, sometimes after a long written response

Hmm maybe I need to post more, but again I have not seen it.

When Mike gets up and around again I have a few things to check out, but without the ability to replicate the problem it makes it very tough to troubleshoot.
