How come we can't delete our own posts?

I posted something, then quickly changed my mind, but NO DELETE BUTTON! Whats up with that?

Oh wait, I figured it out, you cannot delete the first message in a thread, but you can delete any other....

Why?

Maybe if you didn't post such stupid crap you wouldn't have to delete your posts.

Did something change? You always could delete them in the past. Did you check the delete box?

it changed a couple of weeks ago.

You cannot delete a thread that you started. Admins/moderators have to delete these. You can, however, still delete individual posts, as long as it is not a thread starter.

I think it was because someone was deleting alot of old threads that they started just to screw with the board.

I think the cheerleader thread is gone

No one can delete threads anymore, unless you're a mod or admin.

You can delete posts, but if you do the first post, then obviously you can't delete it because you can't delete a thread...

Mike may I ask why?

If its a thread that is started by a particular person they should have the right to delete it on their own? Sounds logical to me?

I agree. I remember posting a thread at the same time someone else posted the same thread. I tired to delete mine because it was clogging the board.
