Wow, I just made a connection with my kid.

The kid has been messing up a little in school, he is only in 2nd grade. But they get behaviour notices daily and he constantly gets excessive talking and not listening to directions. While doing well in spelling and math. I have him write out all his spelling words weekly and make sure he is doing his math homework correctly and go back and correct his mistakes.

Anyway, I said to him today that if I acted like he does at school I would be fired and we would quickly be on the street. I said that some day he will have a family of his own and he is going to have find a good job and be good there and he should start practicing now.

He went back to his room and then came out and said "I just learned something. And you are right. Me going to school every day is just like you going to work every day. I am going to do my best."

I about passed out when he said that.
