Wine in a box?

So I went to this funeral yesterday and somebody brought a box of wine...you know Franzia. All of my relatives got really offended like it was disrespectful or something.

Does anyone here drink wine in the box?

or any of these?

Reserve any French wines for target practice.

Saw one of these boxes of wine sitting on a bench in Tempe today, near The Lakes.

Odd.

Wine in a box is mostly used for cooking not for drinking. I wouldn't be offended if they gave me some to drink but i wouldn't drink too much of it 'cause it sure makes you sick. 32 can back me up.

Not in America, we make wine for cooking (sherry). Trust me, that box wine is intented for consuption at mass quantities. (Especially by the elderly)

My sister in law used to always have a box of wine in her fridge. Probably still does.

There is no such thing as cooking wine, if it ain't good enough to drink, how will it taste when it is concentrated in a sauce?
