Why isn't HBO doing Hard Knocks anymore?

That show friggen ruled!! My wife and I still laugh about the episode last year where this guy on the cowboys went and dropped $10,000 on jewelry and bought a town house in the area because he was so sure he was going to make the team....then got cut the next day.

That show was priceless.

HBO wanted to do another season but none of the teams wanted to give full access ... so they dumped it.

That is so ridiculous - why wouldn't an NFL team want that much more exposure?

I didn't watch the second season with the Cowboys, but I did watch the Ravens.

I enjoyed that show a lot, and imo, they didn't put the Ravens in a bad light. In fact, I watched some of the Ravens games over other matchups that year simply because I had some interest in the team.

I think the Cardinals doing would help there image. It would show other teams how they are really run and maybe help get a free agent or 2 that would not normally consider them.

They wanted to do the Packers last season but Sherman wouldn't hear of it, so they ended up going to the Cowgirls. I agreed with Sherman, there is no time to be running around with a camera crew interfering while you are trying to get a team ready for some competitive play in the NFL. The show was cool and I watched it, but I couldn't understand why a team would agree to it.

Just wait til November when the NFL Channel comes out - that should be tight.

I see it as too much of a distraction to the coaches and players. I agree, I don't see any benefit either.

I'm sorry, but under no circumstances should a white male over the age of 15 ever use that term

I'm more worried about what you're thinking about and why.

Maybe it interfered with the teams' training camps, cause neither the Ravens nor Cowboys had good seasons after Hard Knocks was there, correct?
