Where's a good place to buy a suit?
I need to get a nice suit and it's been a while since I've bought one. Is the Men's Warehouse as good as the guy on TV says? My old man told me to go to a place like Dillards. I will probably wear this a few times and for any funerals that come up.
Any ideas?

I bought a couple of suits at MW about ten years ago. Not too bad. Not great, but a decent price. Dillard's has sales once in a while on pretty good suits.
(I found a couple at Marshall's but that is pretty rare.)

I've been to Men's Warehouse (for my ex, about 4 years ago) & my dad has as well (within the last year). We were both impressed with them; I'd recommend.

I would recommend Men's Wearhouse.

If you don't mind buying a used suit, try a place called Suits 4 U in Tempe. A few years ago I bought a couple of suits there. I remember paying about 30 cents on the dollar for suits that could have passed for brand new. He only deals in higher end brands.

Got my first suit at MW and like them a lot.
My second suit (Calvin Klein) I bought on sale at Dillards. You gotta work the sales.

Dillards at retail is unbearable, but I can attest it's the best lineup of suits in town not Scottsdale. If you want something durable, fashionable, and will probably be acceptable years down the road, Dillards is a great place. I bought an Armani 20 years that, if I could fit into the waist, would still be an outstanding suit today. I loaned to a friend's kid for high school graduation a few years ago and never saw it again.

My brother works in the suit department at Dillards in the Chandler Mall.
Shoot me a PM when you get a chance.

Wow, its been 10 years since I bought a suit, but I have 4-5 of them, all from Dillards. They are all still wearable today (thankfully nobody close has died recently).
I hate shopping, but at least at that time, like abomb mentioned, if they have sales, they had a great selection and service. In and out of there in 30 mins. Just told the guy what I needed, got fitted, then layed the suit on the tie counter and told the guy to pick out 3-4 ties that match the suit.
Painless.
Never bought a suit from Men's Wearhouse, but rented Tuxes from them a few times for weddings. OK, but nothing spectacular.

Ugh I wish I would have seen this, I think I paid too much, but the suit is stylish..... Men's Warehouse. I got a single breasted Versini suit for $309 and I am having it tailored up for a charge.
never heard of the brand but the salesmen said they were good quality and the style should last for years. When should you wear a double breasted suit? I reall only see executive types wearing those.

I would like to retire and become a college professor so I can have the wool suit with the patches on the elbows.

Thanks for the offer but that would be like buying an Academy Award on Ebay. I need to earn the coat by getting teaching job first, then give boring monotone lectures.
I'll be bringing sexy teaching back!

Not with a "Versini" suit you won't be.
