Lets see, sometime in the early 90's I was a season ticket holder. During the year the cards were worse than normal. For one game only, I wore a bag over my head to the game. On the bag was written CARDNOTS. As I walked into the stadium, people were cheering. My only claim to fame. By the way we came back and won that game so I retired the bag.

There should be an "Arizona Cardinal principal". A never ending unexplainable phenomenon of impossible scenarios and bumbling performances resulting in a sensation not unlike being kicked in the nuts several times a year.( Quote Rivercard )
The fans that annoy me are the ones that don't wear a single item of clothing identifying which team they're pulling for. They usually end up mouthing off and calling a ton of attention on themselves. Then they get ticked off when someone points out that they're not even enough of a fan to make it clearly known.
So in order to be a fan I have to be willing to throw my taste in the toilet and wear the right colors? Bah. Being a fan has NOTHING to do with what you wear.
Proud Suns and Cards fan and owner of no team apparel...
I don't really like the double identity thing of the internet. Too many people are different on the net from how they are in real life.
I agree. Using my real name is a Jersey thing - "Here I am. Come and get me!"

Most of you know that I am a logo/uniform nut. I also collect the Pantone colors used by sports teams. I've got hundreds that I store in a custom-built database. This is all part of a group that I started - The Society for Sports Uniforms Research. So...I thought it would be good to honor my favorite NFL team by referencing their primary color - Cardinal Red, or PANTONE 194 C...
(I'm PANTONE282C on my favorite NBA teams' board - the Indiana Pacers)
I got mine from an old password..... it originated as
AZ for Arizona Cardinals and I am an old Darrel Waltrip fan.
His two numbers he had on his cars were 17 and the last one was 66!!!
Thats how I got AZ1766.
I know he had others, but those are the last two he had!
The prettiest car I have ever seen in NASCAR is his Western Auto Chevrolet!!!!!! Not parts America,,,, Western Auto!
I'm not a big NASCAR fan anymore so take it easy on me!
My mother named me Luther.
My friends call me Lex, for superman's nemisis. The greatest criminal mind of the modern era.
I use Lex for fun internet stuff because it's small, easy to remember, and unlike superman, I don't parade around pretending to be something I'm not, only to step into a phone booth, and become something else.

So instead of ducking into a phone booth to change into your superhero costume...are you a bald egomaniac hellbent on taking over the world?

That's fine if that's how you feel, but when you're at a game in the heat of the moment it feels phony when a person in street-clothes is boasting about how much of a fan they are to someone decked out in at least a team shirt...or a jersey and a hat, etc.
Wearing your team's gear to a game is a sign of commitment. Otherwise you could just show up in street clothes and root for whichever team is playing well and no one would really know which team you're for. Just my opinion.
Sorry if wearing team colors is beneath you. What is the proper game attire in your opinion?

En fuego was my tribute to the Dan Patrick / Keith Olberman team on Sportscenter –
As funny as I found Patrick back then, I find him equally annoying today – just don’t have the motivation to change screen names, pass words, etc. Make me glad I never considered a tattoo that said that.
Over on the AZ Central board I use Raptor71, which is a golf course in Scottsdale and my yet unreached goal for a score on that track.
My all time favorite screen name (but haven’t seen yet on this thread) is “Mad Card Disease” – a perfect description of many on this board.
in '85 i was in a joke speedmetal band "Project Terror". "Thee Andikrist" was my stage name. When I started posting on various boards last year, I remembered that name. I believe in no religion, and despise what opression and murder has been done in it's name. Because this is a "free" country, and mostly christian, i mock "jesus christ". I am not a Satanist - that's just another religion. All types of people are Cardinal fans!
