In college, I became friends with these scientist guys at work who were 10-15 years older than me. Anyway, one day I was bemoaning not having a nickname and was joking that it would have been cool if my hippyish parents would have spelled my first name "Atom" instead of "Adam". They started calling me A-Bomb and the rest is history.

My screenname is from Dante's Inferno. He's the boatman that gets Virgil and Dante across the river Styx. I picked it because I like Dante's Inferno and because the name sounds cool.

This sounds like Zapped starring Scott Baio and Willie Ames.
When I was in high school, I was in a band called Coprophagia (the act of eating feces, most notably enjoyed by dogs). So when coming up with a name for my AOL account, I wanted to mock all the names with numbers, so i made dogpoo32, the number being in honor of Magic Johnson. Not sure why I chose him. Was never a fan of him or the Lakers.
