A friend of mine calls the logo the Cardinal "chickenhead" and the first time I heard it I couldn't stop laughing. There's a self-deprecating aspect to being a Cards fan that I love.
Cards and Suns are undisputed relics from growing up. The other teams arrived after I moved - I cheer for them, but I've been a Habs fan for years, solidified by a couple of years living in Montreal. Huge baseball fan, but don't have a single favorite team. Definitely in the Mets camp here in NY, though.

Mine comes from an ancient Chinese proverb where "Big" refers to my 6'6" 290 pound frame and "Joe" is a common spelling of my first name.
Real original, I know...

Pretty obvious
As the phoenix bird once rose from the ashes , I see a new Cardinals team that has risen Out of the Ashes of a losing past. I am also a phoenix native and have been using this handle for a lot of things. I have always loved the phoenix risinng story and I think a lot of people can identify with the concept. To me it symbolizes being successful in love and life in spite of a difficult past.

What does your screenname mean?
Mine is Suns31.
I'm a huge fan of the Suns and Shawn Marion is one of my favorite players who wears 31.
