Will the cops come out and finger print the interior, or would that be too much trouble for something petty? At what point to they start finger printing for evidence?

Is finger printing involved with forensics or what? I just want to know so if the COPS come out I want to demand it
They won't even come out. I had my truck broken into and lost tools and computers. All they did was a phone interview and told me to call my insurance.

That sucks.....damn my deductable is $500.00 I ain't even gonna report it

What sucks is my insurance (been with them for like 12 years) said they would pay the claim. BUT......My rates would increase for 5 years and if I had one more claim in those five I would be dropped. I hate insurance companies.
When my house got broken into, they didn't even fingerprint for that.. so I'm guessing they wont for this.

Thats it....I am going to start trying to make friends with every cop I meet...one of them might like me. Then I will use him to fingerprint my dashboard.
Oh wait, the only COPS I ever meet is when I do something wrong...hmmmm
I had my car stereo stolen several years ago. The cops just took a report over the phone. I had additional stereo theft coverage on my insurance though.
State Farm rocks - they waived my deductible b/c there was a slight scratch on the dash from the theft, then I went out and got the upgraded model.
I also heard a story, almost certainly an urban legend, of a guy who put fish hooks in the back of the stereo chassis. Came out one day to find a thief hooked with his hand caught trying to steal his stereo. I'm sure its a bogus story b/c setting traps is illegal, but still a funny visual.
Wow...that really sucks Ryan! I doubt the cops will even come out. Just make sure you get the report number and the name of the filing officer for insurance purposes.
