What gives you the Chills...

...everytime you see it or hear it?

For me:

1. Every single time I hear "Do you believe in miracles? YES!!"

2. Whenever I hear bagpipes playing Amazing Grace...sadly usually at a funeral for a fallen policeman or firefighter.

Those two give me the chills every single time.

Seeing the Towers of Light in NYC last year.

I would leave my office in the Financial District and look up to see the beams pierce the sky. After I got off of the train in Brooklyn I would look over to the west and see them towering over the city.

It gave me feelings of sadness, pain, hope, and reverence - if that can be considered a feeling.

I wish they never turned those off. Moreso, I wish the Towers were still there.

The Star Spangled Banner - ever since 9/11 it's really had an effect on me

Also, eating a popsicle and taking a huge bite out of it - gaaaaah it's like nails on a chalkboard

Ditto. Especailly at SDS. There is a guy who plays it on his trumpet. I forget his name. He has played other places also. But, he just nails it every time and it gives me goose bumps.

He played in the DBacks World Series in '01 and the Suns playoff games last year.

Same here, only it's always done that to me. Especially if a fly over is involved. I don't know why military jets are so awe inspiring.

I always keep my sunglasses on during the National Anthem.
